Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten flott den Wert einer nahmen Positionierung in Ergebnissen und recht bald fand man Organisation, die sich auf die Verbesserung spezialisierten. In Anfängen erfolgte der Antritt oft über die Transfer der URL der geeigneten Seite bei der verschiedenartigen Suchmaschinen im Internet. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Auswertung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Internetseite auf den Server der Suchseiten, wo ein zweites Anwendung, der gern genutzte Indexer, Informationen herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Ansprüche, Links zu weiteren Seiten). Die neuzeitlichen Typen der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Infos, die mithilfe der Webmaster selber gegeben sind, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Suchmaschinen im Internet wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben eine Übersicht via Gehalt einer Seite, doch setzte sich bald raus, dass die Anwendung dieser Tipps nicht gewissenhaft war, da die Wahl der verwendeten Schlüsselworte durch den Webmaster eine ungenaue Präsentation des Seiteninhalts spiegeln kann. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in den Meta-Elementen konnten so irrelevante Webseiten bei besonderen Ausschau halten listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller verschiedene Merkmale in einem Zeitraum des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu beeinflussen, dass die Seite überlegen in Suchergebnissen aufgeführt wird.[3] Da die zeitigen Suchmaschinen im Netz sehr auf Faktoren abhängig waren, die alleinig in Taschen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr vulnerabel für Straftat und Manipulationen in der Positionierung. Um überlegenere und relevantere Vergleichsergebnisse in den Ergebnissen zu erhalten, mussten wir sich die Inhaber der Suchmaschinen im Internet an diese Ereignisse adjustieren. Weil der Triumph einer Suchseite davon abhängt, wesentliche Ergebnisse der Suchmaschine zu den inszenierten Suchbegriffen anzuzeigen, konnten untaugliche Ergebnisse zur Folge haben, dass sich die Anwender nach sonstigen Wege bei der Suche im Web umgucken. Die Erwiderung der Internet Suchmaschinen fortbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen für das Positionierung, die Gesichtspunkte beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur kompliziert steuerbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin konstruierten mit „Backrub“ – dem Urahn von Die Suchmaschine – eine Suchmaschine, die auf einem mathematischen Matching-Verfahren basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Unterseiten gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus einfließen ließ. Auch weitere Suchmaschinen im Internet orientiert in Mitten der Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. wohlauf der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Yahoo search
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
