A lady visiting Yellowstone Nationwide Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officers said Tuesday.
The 25-year-old girl, who was visiting from Ohio, was not recognized in a news launch from the park.
The girl approached the female bison Monday morning after it got here close to a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, close to Old Devoted geyser, the park mentioned.

Fuller / VWPics by way of AP Pictures filePark rules require visitors to stay greater than 25 yards from the animals, the largest mammals in North America, which are unpredictable, can high speeds of 35 mph and may jump several feet.
An estimated 2,300 to 5,500 bison dwell at the park, they usually have injured more people than every other animal, the park said.
When the visitor got here inside 10 ft of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 ft in the air, the park stated.
The lady had puncture wounds and other accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service said. Her situation was unknown Tuesday.
Two different people have been also near the animal when it gored the girl, the park stated. The discharge didn’t say if they have been injured.
The park warned folks to stay 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and no less than 100 yards from bears and wolves.
CORRECTION (June 1, 2022, 12:07 p.m. ET) A previous model of this article misstated the severity of the lady’s injuries. She was gored by a bison and suffered puncture wounds. She was not killed.
