Talking in the dugout of the Nice American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler stated, "I don't plan on coming out for the anthem going ahead until I feel better concerning the course of our country."

In a blog put up, Kapler questioned whether or not the country's management is dedicated to representing its people's greatest pursuits and whether or not the USA is actually "the land of the free and the home of the brave."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mother in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her kids. They blocked mother and father trying to prepare to charge in to stop the shooter, including a father who discovered his daughter was murdered whereas he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians resolve that the lobbyist and gun industries are more essential than our children's freedom to go to high school without having bulletproof backpacks and energetic shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he known as "the lack of supply of the promise of what our nationwide anthem represents."

"I'm not okay with the state of this nation. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I wish that I could have demonstrated what I realized from my dad, that whenever you're dissatisfied along with your nation, you let it's known by means of protest. The home of the brave should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion against gun violence in the US.

Kerr refused to talk about basketball ahead of Game 4 of the Warriors' sequence in opposition to the Dallas Mavericks, as an alternative raising his voice as he railed towards gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.

"In the last 10 days, we've had aged Black folks killed in a grocery store in Buffalo, we have had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we now have youngsters murdered in school," Kerr instructed reporters in the beginning of the press conference.

"When are we going to do one thing? I'm tired. I'm so uninterested in getting up here and providing condolences to the devastated households which are on the market ... I'm bored with the moments of silence. Sufficient."
