"You see news every single day about children getting shot and folks your age dying and it's just extremely unhappy and unbelievable, particularly to see like youngsters youthful and kids my age," Janoff instructed ABC Information. "I cant imagine that being me; but it's possible as a result of it occurs so typically."
The 17 year-old says her faculty's administration was in support of the walkout and she or he hopes the over 200 planned demonstrations throughout the country ship a clear message that college students are a "united entrance."
A walkout may not essentially change laws, Janoff stated, however these actions present "students are still united on this."
She mentioned that though most students aren't sufficiently old to vote, they still wish to see change and are prepared to take measures to have their voices heard in politics.
"College students do not need to be quiet about it simply because they are a child," Janoff stated.
