Days after a minimum of 19 elementary faculty students and two lecturers have been killed in a mass shooting at an elementary faculty in Uvalde, Texas, students at colleges around the country staged walkouts to protest gun violence.
In Michigan, college students at Oxford Excessive Faculty, the place a faculty capturing occurred in November, staged a walkout at 12 p.m. on Thursday. Four students have been killed in the capturing.

"You see information day by day about youngsters getting shot and people your age dying and it's just extremely unhappy and unbelievable, particularly to see like kids younger and children my age," Janoff instructed ABC News. "I cant imagine that being me; however it is imaginable because it occurs so usually."
The 17 year-old says her college's administration was in assist of the walkout and she hopes the over 200 planned demonstrations across the country send a clear message that college students are a "united front."
A walkout could not necessarily change laws, Janoff stated, however these actions present "college students are still united on this."
She mentioned that though most college students aren't old enough to vote, they nonetheless want to see change and are keen to take measures to have their voices heard in politics.
"College students don't have to be quiet about it simply because they're a kid," Janoff stated.
