TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in prison for touring to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met on-line, in keeping with officials.

The U.S. Division of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two completely different times in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Courtroom data say he flew back and forth disguising himself as an English instructor.

Among the boys, in keeping with the DOJ, were lured with guarantees of money and presents. Others introduced him as their English instructor.

The Tampa Bay Information says Homeland Safety investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh City. It was a part of Undertaking Secure Childhood, which was an effort to seek out baby intercourse abuse started in 2006 by the DOJ.
