Florida man gets life in prison for traveling to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors – WFTV

TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in prison for traveling to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met on-line, according to officials.

The U.S. Division of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two totally different times in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Courtroom data say he flew backwards and forwards disguising himself as an English instructor.

Among the boys, in response to the DOJ, had been lured with guarantees of cash and items. Others introduced him as their English instructor.

The Tampa Bay Information says Homeland Safety investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh City. It was part of Mission Safe Childhood, which was an effort to find little one sex abuse began in 2006 by the DOJ.
