Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - A number of businesses responded to a middle college in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty round 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teen never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm along with a number of different businesses in an attempt to search out him.
The teenager was found near the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old might be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no threat made to the varsity or anyone inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Center Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
