9 Shot, One Lifeless in San Bernardino County – NBC Los Angeles

One individual was killed and eight others have been injured Friday night when pictures were fired at a large party at a strip mall hookah lounge in the San Bernardino County community of Highland.

The shooting within the metropolis east of San Bernardino was reported just before midnight within the 3600 block of East Highland Avenue. Officers encountered a big crowd of about 100 folks within the area for a party at a hookah lounge.

A taking pictures victim located outdoors died on the scene. A girl at the scene who recognized herself because the victim's grandmother said he's 20 years outdated.

Eight other folks have been hospitalized with what seem like non-life-threatening accidents, police mentioned. The sheriff's department initially stated 10 people had been shot, but later updated that number to 9, including the deceased sufferer.

Police are looking for two shooters in connection with the shooting, a source close to the investigation instructed NBCLA. The supply stated most of the injured victims have been caught in the crossfire and did not appear to be meant targets.

Proof markers have been positioned at a nearby gasoline station. Crime scene tape blocked off the intersection early Saturday near Tha Blu Flame lounge.

NBCLA has reached out to the enterprise for comment.

The motive for the taking pictures is under investigation, police mentioned.

No arrests were reported. Detailed descriptions of the shooters were not instantly out there.

Highland is just east of San Bernardino on the base of the San Bernardino Mountains.
