The pattern was almost similar.

Between July and August 2019, intercourse employee Angelina Barini met with her shoppers at motels in New York City before giving them harmful doses of medicine that incapacitated them. Then, she would rob the boys and go away with their private belongings.

Four of them, including a prominent Italian chef, died of overdoses from the medicine, court docket information state.

In August, Barini pleaded guilty to distributing medicine that killed her purchasers, together with fentanyl and gamma-butyrolactone, recognized for inflicting irrational conduct, extreme illness, coma and dying.

Last week, a decide sentenced the 43-year-old Barini to 30 years in jail.

“The defendant drugged and killed a number of folks for a couple of quick dollars,” Breon Peace, the U.S. lawyer for the Japanese District of New York, mentioned in a news launch. “She stole their personal belongings whereas they lay unconscious dying from the deadly medicine she gave them.”

Attorneys representing Barini did not respond to a message from The Washington Post.

Barini met her first victim at a motel in Astoria, Queens, on July 4, 2019. There, she gave the person fentanyl-laced drugs and left the room. Police discovered him lifeless hours later, court docket information state.

Per week later, on July 11, Barini had an encounter with another man at a motel in Woodside, Queens, the place she gave him fentanyl-laced medicine. The person also died of a drug overdose, a complaint states.

The next month, on Aug. 5, Barini met her third sufferer in Faculty Level, Queens, and again gave him fentanyl-laced medicine that led to a fatal overdose, prosecutors stated.

Later that month, on Aug. 18, Barini met her last identified sufferer, Andrea Zamperoni — a chef for the high-end restaurant chain Cipriani — inside an Elmhurst, Queens, motel room, where she drugged him with gamma-butyrolactone, generally known as a “date rape” drug. The person died shortly afterward.

That day, court data state, Barini repeatedly tried to dispose of the sufferer’s physique. Barini wrapped Zamperoni’s physique in bleach-stained sheets and positioned it inside a trash bin, according to prosecutors. Zamperoni was reported missing on Aug. 21, prosecutors said. That very same day, the New York City Police Department discovered the person’s physique within the motel room.

In line with court records, when authorities knocked on the room’s door, Barini opened and swiftly shut it. Once investigators made it into the room, they noticed a robust odor — that of a decomposing physique and burning incense, the criticism states.

Barini advised investigators that “she didn't do it,” but also that her “pimp” made her do it. Contained in the motel room, authorities discovered a number of objects, including a bank card belonging to Zamperoni and a glass pipe used to smoke medication, court records state.

When authorities later interrogated her, Barini said Zamperoni had agreed to pay her for intercourse. When she woke up, Barini stated, he was unresponsive and bleeding from the nose and mouth. Her pimp, she added, wouldn't let her call the police.

Fernando Dallorso, the general manager of Cipriani in New York, informed the New York Times that Zamperoni was a “dedicated hard employee” who cooked six days every week and “by no means missed a day of work.”

The kitchen employees mourned the loss, Dallorso told the Times.

“Everybody in the kitchen proper now could be heartbroken, from the dishwasher to the chef,” Dallorso said.
