BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple indicators saying "school shooter" had been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple fees.

An elevated quantity of police officers were positioned at schools within the communities on account of the indicators. A number of schools initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the indicators around the communities, the Department of Safety stated, however they decided there is no credible menace presently.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The protection division released a photo of the plate but blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of legal threatening and three misdemeanor expenses including false report to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged presently.
