A woman visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officers stated Tuesday.
The 25-year-old lady, who was visiting from Ohio, was not recognized in a news launch from the park.
The girl approached the female bison Monday morning after it got here close to a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, close to Outdated Trustworthy geyser, the park stated.

Fuller / VWPics via AP Images filePark rules require visitors to stay greater than 25 yards from the animals, the largest mammals in North America, which are unpredictable, can prime speeds of 35 mph and may jump a number of toes.
An estimated 2,300 to five,500 bison reside on the park, and they have injured more individuals than any other animal, the park mentioned.
When the customer got here within 10 feet of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 toes within the air, the park said.
The girl had puncture wounds and different accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service stated. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
Two different individuals were also close to the animal when it gored the lady, the park mentioned. The discharge didn’t say if they were injured.
The park warned people to remain 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and not less than 100 yards from bears and wolves.
